Volunteer Commitment

Our Religious Education programming is volunteer-based. The on-going assistance of all parents/guardians with children and youth participating in RE is vital and necessary to make the program meaningful and successful. Please commit to at least two of the following volunteer opportunities.

You can expect to receive a follow-up phone call or email from Aria within the next several weeks to find out more details about how you would like to participate in the options you commit to below.

Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast: At least once a year, we like to show all of the volunteers who make our Children and Family Ministry programming possible how much we appreciate their time and commitment to our children and families. If you are interested in helping to plan, cook, or set up for this event, please check the box below. This year the breakfast will take place on Sunday morning, June 10th, 2018.

OWL Facilitation: Our Whole Lives is a comprehensive sexuality education program developed in partnership between the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. It provides participants with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their lives. Parents cannot facilitate the OWL class that their child is in. However, if you are interested in facilitating an OWL class that your child is not participating in, please indicate the age you would like to work with here:

Religious Education Facilitation: On Sunday mornings we provide religious education for children ages three through eighteen. If you are interested in facilitating the spiritual learning and growth of our children, please indicate the age range with which you are interested in working with.

Serving on a committee: There are several different committees under the umbrella of Children and Family Ministry which make our programming possible. These committees meet once a month and serving on them may include couple hours a month of volunteering for an event or planning on event. We love having parents and guardians give their time and energy to the CFM program, but we also recognize that parents are not the only adults able to give their time in our community.
